XX-Large Analogue Dreams is a sample CD released by Best Service, available in Akai S1000, Audio CD, Roland and SampleCell Mac formats. It contains samples of single notes that have, where appropriate, been looped to allow the musician to sustain notes indefinitely. This allows the sampler to emulate a handful of sounds of each of the featured synthesizers with reasonable accuracy.

AKAI format CDRoms are not directly readable under Wxx... You must absolutely use a program that allows you to read/export the akai format to a standard format (Wav) i/e CDXtract (www.cdxtract.com), Osmosis (www.bitheadz.com) or Chicken System Translator (www.chickensys.com/translator). Akai CDs can be accessed and played using VSampler, Kontakt Player or other samplers. Extreme Sample Converter sometimes is essensial too.
